Self observation and peer coaching — Northern College


This 2016/17 Outstanding Teaching and Learning (OTLA 2) project was a partnership between Northern College and East Street Arts, Conservation Volunteers, and Leeds City Council. The aim was to strengthen teaching, learning and assessment through peer coaching and action learning sets based on cross-team, cross-organisation groups. Key elements were: the use of video for tutors to record and observe their own practice; a focus on Professional Standards; and access to continuing professional development/training on TLA. Two PowerPoint presentations add useful detail about the project's method and outcomes.
